The Marine Natural Reserve of Miramare was created in the 1973 for a private usage of Mario Bussani a naturalist that collaborated with the WWF. Some characteristics of Triestes's Gulf is that it has many different things, pebbly beaches, rocky complexes that form little archipelagoes also many different species of fish live here. Because of this variety of things Trieste's Gulf is prottected by the WWF. The Reserve contains marine and coastline bottoms that reaches 18 meters of depth. The Reserve is foundedon a characteristic envoirment of particular importance that's covered by the tide then there is the reef (unluckily it doesn't contain corals...) and teh sandy and muddy sea bed. In the sea you can find many species of molluskes abd fishes, that is why it is also protected by the WWF. Many types of fishes like Treiste-s Gulf beacuse it-s protected and many more algeas do tool. The subtrate layers of the rocks appear brightly colored thanks to the various sponges and shellfishes. It is possible to see all this and more at Triest, in a scuba diving suit, under the sea.
